Wherever I go, I must also t r a n s p o r t.
A game like this shouldn't rely on basic noise gemeration for its terrain.

DELETE ALL SURVIVALISTS FROM EXISTENCE
How is brutal compared to TTW difficulty ? I'm going to start a second playthrough soon and I want to take a bazillon screenshots, but wilder difficulty would make that troublesome during boss fights
>>737582442>Not entering photo mode during boss fightsNGMI.
>>737582525But that's what I intend to do. Just on wilder I assuming I'd eat a nasty hit if not a one shot upon exiting. But I guess I can just do many photo session fights before I fight for real. Also unrelated to difficulty, the time of the day is going to be important too. I did the majority of the fights during night time, screenshots were quite dark. The only order I refuse to do during day time is the F8 one, night makes it so much better
250 hour DS2 playthrough70 hour return to DSnow onto playthrough 2 of DS2 and i just got mindfucked by the fact that when you take out the BTs in Mexico for the geophysics lab, you can actually spot a nebula behind the mountains, i thought they only showed up in Aus

Why are some of these timed missions so fucking tight. I was 0.17 seconds too slow.
>>737585921Can't put anything in the coffin but corpses>>737586381It's either more than enough time or super tight like this one. Had to upgrade every road to level 2 for that order
>>737586495I've been focusing on batch deliveries and mostly ignoring the timed ones, but now I have to start to deal with them. I guess there's a lot of zipline building in my future.
>>737586770I did all 400 orders without using ziplines, but they can certainly help. Like for that one order from BPAS to the vtumor. So long as you have a clear route to zoom through you'll be fine
>>737581142getting the level 3 bokkta legs is so fucking annoying omaigawwwwwdddd
>>737585921That's a coffin. Coffins are only for pulling and riding on.
>>737586878Ok that's good to know. I don't want to have to get zipline crazy as I was in DS1.
The music that plays during the big giant head fight in Mexico is so good
>>737586878I had the most incredible jump ramp help me with that, I thought it would be useless 100 hours back because it was facing a wall but only made the order because of it
>Saddam Hussein
>>737587317>saarddam poossein
>>737587030>>737587110Honestly I felt like I didn't need ziplines in 2, while in 1 I'd set them up and minmax them as soon as I'd connect a new area in the mountains. I did use jump ramps a lot more this time
>>737586897I'm struggling to get level 2. No one has any cargo for that damn knot.
>>737582442IDK i found TTW incredibly easy, maybe less tomfoolery is viable than on lower difficulties but the grenade launcher and multi lock rocket launcher still solve nearly every single fight on TTW.
>>737588248I'm having a lot of fun just walking around and I think carriers play a big role in that (I don't recall that I ever used them the first game). I like that I don't have to choose between tediously walking everywhere with a tower on your back or only doing 1 order at a time.I want to do a second playthrough offline with no roads or vehicles, but there are way too many games I want to play this year.
>>737581142>1 year Playstation exclusive>1 year to release the PC portMaybe release the game on PC during it's initial launch next time.
Was Die Hardman just hiding in the Magellan's storeroom the whole time?
>>737589208I think they should get PC ports on launch, just saying.
>>737589539That's the implication, but I'm pretty sure you go in there for one of the random ship cutscenes.
>>737588925You don't get the rocket launchers until mid-late story and for the lightweight one you need to 4 star the phantom smith which is a pain because there's almost no order for him at that point. But yes they annihilate everything. I was mostly thinking of the boss fights but surely if I go in with the expectation of dying over and over for cool shots the autistic deep seated anger won't surface :^)
Is it just me or do vehicles degrade WAY faster in DS2? I parked my sparkly new pickup in a safe spot, took out a brigand base and when I got back to it, the thing was rusted all the way to hell with 21% durability left. Nothing touched the thing except for snow.
>>737592440May be a wilder thing. Battery depletes faster than in other difficulties so durability is probably the same. What bothers me is how fast Sam's suit gets enshittened and gray looking. I like doing a ton of deliveries without resting in a private room. Barely 30 seconds in the rain with a sparkling clean suit and it already looks like it's been used for eons.
>>737592672does changing your suit in a terminal reset it? I wish you could reload ammo without having to rest. I guess I could just recycle and make a new gun, but that feels so wasteful (plus I like my red guns).
>>737592832It doesn't. It's honestly baffling that they didn't add a refill ammo option at terminals, just print ammo with some metals and ceramics. You'd think this is a thing they'd improve upon after the first game where it worked the same way. I'm guessing they were thinking "just print new ones bro">plus I like my red gunsBased redCHAD. I have a stockpile of them and repair them at the metallic spring when they get damaged.
>>737581142I just finished 2 the other day and the more I think about it the less I liked it. All the side characters are great but they don't really have stories like the first game's did. The actual story itself is kinda dumb, but I will admit parts of it are absolute kino like Higgs burning Sam, the reveal that he was hallucinating Lou the whole time or basically anything with Neil. Also I don't like the visual style or the actual world design as much. Everything felt too easy to traverse except the big mountain and even it wasn't as interesting as the original. The combat and arsenal of tools is a definite upgrade though. I wish there were more random elements that could occur like the avalanches and sand/snowstorms, hell any of the sections with the asteroids setting stuff on fire were great. They could've done with more unique preppers like the Animal Sanctuary or even the Vtuber. Most of them lack any interesting personality which was admittedly a problem with the first game too. At least there they were more recognisable like Sam Lake or even Geoff 'The Joe Slayer' Keighley. Overall I'd still give it like a 7.5 but it's not as solid as the original.
>>737593050That's one of two garbage oversights in the game. The only way to refill ammo is by sleeping in a private room and there's no damn compass on the HUD. We've got flying robots, flying tar subs, a means of printing structures, teleportation, laser tractor beams, all kinds of insane technology but somehow no compass on the HUD.
>>737593367I have never seen an avalanche except the one that happens as part of the main order, and I've spent a lot of time in the mountains on foot.
Going back to the first one and your suits battery dying all the time was a shock, i had to carry a PCC all the time for the most part you get so much battery in DS2
>>737594561Ive had a couple when not in a mission but they are extremely rare One just rushed me and I was like welp im dead
>>737594967One of my fondest memories in DS1 was delivering something from the Doctor to the Mountaineer, going up that big hill after the BT area. Batteries are fully dead, the cold is draining my stamina, and then I crest the hill and there's someone else's generator playing Pop Virus to help me out. I mashed the shit out of the like button. It was those little magical moments that made the "strand" gameplay so unique for me.
I wish we could unlock the PCC level 3 earlier>>737594967The only times I ever ran out of battery in 1 was when I was using armor pads along with the speed skeleton to clear out camps. If my memory serves me right the stabilizers also use a lot of battery. I enjoy the overcharge thing 2 has going, it's great, I'll definitely miss it when I play 1 again
>>737581142This game was embarassingly bad. Kojima was exposed to be a complete hack. The story is basically sam supporting 3 or 4 girl bosses. Literally.
>>737581142I think a lot of Death Stranding fans would find some deep pleasure in playing the Alaska/Denali map from Steep.
No game makes you look at a beautiful landscape and think >god imagine paving this over with an asphalt road with the same intensity as Death Stranding.

>>737595662Nothing like littering the place with a billion structures.
>>737595462Yeah the 1% of story really ruined the 99% of gameplay for me, I was rolling around on the floor seething and shidding at the bad ass women in the game after 30 years of enjoying bad ass cyborg ninjas and combat veteran men in my kojima games

This was not as effective as I hoped. Maybe on lower difficulty when enemies have less hp. I also need more ammo.
This antimatter is pretty wimpy. I wonder if the large hazards make a bigger boom?
>hey as long as it works
>>737608125>I wonder if the large hazards make a bigger boom? Please try. I used some explosive cargo on mechs, don't remember what type, and it wasn't very effective either

So the only way you're ever going to realistically repair all the roads is if you use that ceramics mine in the middle of the map, load it all into the Magellan and fast travel around the map repairing all the autopavers, right?
>>737607572Nope. Take the kill pill. Murder them all and the camps will be empty for a long while.
>>737611126That's what I did yes. Litter the magellan with metals, ceramics and chemicals so that you can rebuild roads
>>737611212Do you dump all the corpses in a coffin?
It's actually easier to get stars at facilities on TTW difficulty. Only things that are really harder is bosses can one-shot you, and stamina and battery management matter more. It's been really fun for me.
>>737611674Yes. If there's a distribution center or a knot not far you can load up a truck with the corpses and incinerate them all at once. If you don't mind getting some likes docked then you can just leave the bodies right where they died, NPCs will take care of it.
>>737601487Sam is always the last to know anything
Higgs did nothing wrong
very subtle, Kojima. Took me 7 years to notice.
>>737612060I said WTF out loud the first time I saw the big moon
>>737581142OP's hip checking the slope all the way from East Observatory to Aeornautical and that's funny because it's the worst way to to do it but also the wrong mindset to have for mountain deliveries in general. Instead he needs to hop unto the ridge just up to his left, out of frame in this picture, and traverse by running along the ridge, setting up a chain of ladders or expensive chiral bridges to smooth out the ridge run. I hope OP at least cuts through the peak and doesn't hip check all the way around to Sky Nigga.I admit i traversed that way too on my first playthrough but still OP is a dumb retarded stupid asshole fuck him.
>>737596612Neat trick with that is one can go online to load up lots of player structures then turn it off to keep the ones he want without new ones popping up.The not neat thing is he's now the sole source of maintenance for too many structures.
>>737608084Good try, that's pretty good.
>>737593367I think both games are some of the best I've ever played. I think 2 is both darker in themes and what happens, but at the same time also lighter and way more "Kojima unhinged". The tone of the first game is a lot more consistent. It does have some Kojima'isms and fun stuff, but not nearly to as unhinged or as many as 2 has. 1 is a very solemn game, but with a very strong sense of hope throughout even when it gets dark. 2 is more personal to Sam. It just hits some different themes in the story about coping with loss etc. They're both great games for different reasons. I don't think one is better than the other, although some of the gameplay aspects in 2 have definitely been made better. And the graphics make 1 look dated even though it still looks good too.Death Stranding 2 looked like how I imagined games would look in the future, and it ran insanely smooth with everything maxed out on my not top of the line pc.I was amazed at how fast the game loaded too. From when you click "play" in Steam and you're actually moving around in the game takes almost no time.
>>737601487The red samurai making baby noises in some of the first encounters made me think that was Lou

>>737617212did you like the dance?
Noticing on my second playthrough that im still getting likes and notifications for structures on my first playthrogh, I dont think they get counted in the actual stats for this run. One thing I am absolutely doing is when I unlock a new pepper I am scouting the landscape around them for XL metals, ceramics and chemicals to go in the private locker Aswell as hauling shared locker XLs into my private Do not want to get bogged down into truck travelling for road materials this time
>>737589208I don't care>Sony paid a lot to get the exclusive>PS fag basically paid Sony for that, wasting their money as usual for console-fag>PC fag just play something else then get it on a superior platform probably, maybe upgradedSo long as you don't spoil yourself stupidly it's ok
>>737622063so much of the ending was fucking retarded, but I didn't hate it. The obvious shit about Tomorrow was probably just cover for Fragile being dead, which was the real gut punch
>>737622295the last chapter did feel really crammed I agreealso the funniest shit was Fatman constantly hijacking Heartman's body to do random shit. s'like he never left
>>737611126Yeah. If you really want to you could also raid knots for their stuff and take XL, L, M and S. Then offload everything, put all four on your back and auto sort it into a big XL. Then select all your big pippin XLs and dump them in the truck. If you're going to the mine, just take a ton of L, M and S with you to combine those with the XL you get from the mine.
>>737581142Death Stranding would be more popular if Kojima didn't use Hollywod actors or any actors for that matter.
>>737622112I just its smarter to just grab all materials. Recycle them into the prepper then take out XLs, but always leave 1 xl for crafting
Why did Conan O'Brien kill Neil and become so evil?
>>737625140I dunno man. It's rare to find a game where you feel such a close connection to the MC to the point where you almost feel like you are him. Maybe they didn't need actors but still.
why are all the chinamen in this game so zesty? the all have a little spring in their step, theyre a little light in the loafers if you get me
>>737625461You know at the very end I was hoping you could get to void out on him, but no.
Do we agree that DS1 was better?
>>737586897You're supposed to use a cheat table to max out your connection levels faster. For me, every piece of lost cargo was an instant 1+ star. I five stared everyone I met relatively quickly and got their rewards before moving on. I pretty much uninstalled after finishing the story. No pointless post game for me.
>>737631101I wish brigands were out roaming the landscape in 2 like they were in 1 but overall I enjoyed 2 much more
>>737629225Voiding out Sam does not even make sense. The explosion wouldn't be big enough to kill everyone, plus Sam would have mentioned it after the fact.
>>737625461Was that really Conan?
>>737631879Sam's void out in the opening of 1 was pretty big and took out whatever town that was
>>737632313Nice try.
>>737631426That just doesn't sound fun to me, personally.
>>737613421did you really have to give it eye lashes, you fag
>>737611126Getting roads to lvl 1 was way easier than lvl 2. You need one fast travel round trip to a few bases to collect enough chemicals for all of lvl 2. Ceramics is the first mine, and you'll quickly cross the map as part of the story anyway.
I find it very annoying how you get bonus audio out of the ps5 controller when using it over other controllers, but there is no way to get this audio normally without it. Disabling the controller audio feature just removes that fucking audio entirely. Its fucking evil I can only hear sam's footstep sounds properly via a ps5 controller speaker. What the fuck kojima.
