demo time

Pretty decent playtest. Just two short mysteries that were pretty easy but that's to be expected at the start of the game. Took me about 15 minutes. Artwork was compelling, I thought, especially the living map on someone's backside.Straightforward Golden Idol-like, didn't really explain anything's function but I got it pretty quickly. I even bothered to do the post game survey which I don't always do I just use playtests to try out games and never tell the developer anything. Obviously if I know enough to get on the list of testers I'm going to be pretty good at mystery games. The only question I thought was particularly important during the survey was: Would you pay $20 for this game? The answer was yes, I think. I don't know how long it is, but I guess I'll find out by playing. Hopefully not too short. The game seemed atmospheric enough to be worth it as a launch title instead of waiting until their dreams are crushed and it's 90% off.
Average forgettable platformer, there's so many platformers and they are so easy to make I could only be bothered to play the best of the best in this genre.
Mirrored Soul. Reasonably amusing game that starts off as a detective trying to track down an athlete who beat his wife to death with a bat but turns into a pokemon game. It's already released, I might get the game when it's on sale.
Still playing the Tiling Forest - Tiling Town Demo. Good puzzle game.

The Second Reality Room: Unspoken Truths. Kind of a weird game where you have to diagnose teenagers with mental delusions but they're japanese so it's more interesting than stuff like anorexia. "I'm a fallen angel from heaven"I don't know if it will be as good as their previous mystery title, which was a straightforward game where you tried to determine which person in the cast was a shapeshifter who was stealing people's forms and identities like the Thing.
>>737585341Yes, I do. I have to play every single survival horror game that ever exists anywhere so there's not much time for other genres. And you know, school and work sometimes too. but mostly survival horror.
Solis. This game actually has a pretty interesting art style. Unfortunately, this is countermanded by the totally hideous art style of the characters so I turned it off.
Clockwork Ambrosia. A pretty above average platformer, not sure if it's going to turn out to be more like Hook or more like Mega Man. Probably worth trying if you like platformers.
Automaton Heart. Another kind-of-interesting artstyle coupled with gameplay I'm totally disinterested in.

I'm not interested in these games so I have no desire to join the playtests but maybe other people are interested:https://store.steampowered.com/app/2988030/Into_the_Firehttps://store.steampowered.com/app/2411280/The_Bornless/
I never really bother with multiplayer demos, they feel destined for failure constantly. I get that you have to try because multiplayer is where money is or you miss your childhood street fighter days or something but these games crash and burn even harder than normal indie games. at least a single player game can be enjoyed alone. you can't enjoy this once it's player count nosedives, which it will, on day one.
