Yes, "fandoms" are not healthy because eventually it just mutates into a religion. Find stuff you like make friends with similar interests but always look for new interests or things to enjoy instead of trying to squeeze blood from a stone. I love Star Trek but most of it isnt very good so instead of fixating on it I just enjoy the bits I like and just look for more scifi. If you can't make fun of something you enjoy and appreciate new things than its just going to make you miserable.
