> Ys seriesNobody plays these games here? I havent seen a thread in monthshttps://youtu.be/R3oxItpQ4n4
>>737588694Threads about the good Ys games like Oath don't get much traction because there isn't much to shitpost about. Most people (at the least the ones who have played them) agree that the gameplay, bosses and music are great but beyond that there isn't much to discuss. There's not much lorefaggotry, e-celeb drama or other nonsense that guarantees replies in this shithole.Oath is better than Origin by the way.
>>737588694Nordics didn't set the world on fire. I still think Oath in Felghana is the best one, and I'm disappointed every time they stick closer to 7.
>>737588694I've seen 3 in the past month, they just don't last very long. It's just not a series that has a big audience or appeal. Honestly I prefer it being somewhat niche but still continuing, rather than get raped by a retarded normie fanbase.
>>737589142Origins is such a great game too, but man the story really fucks up the replay value. Most of the dialogue in Oath is just bullshit from the townspeople you can ignore if you want. Origins bombards you with text boxes every other corridor.
oath and origins were fantastic games, especially in terms of combat and soundtrackthen you had the older games with bump combat... which was kinda really shit, but at least required some skillthen you have all the newer games that replaced the skill based action combat with some random handholding garbage so if anyone killed the discussion, it's the retarded developers trying to appeal to even more retarded players
>>737588694Nah. Brandish mogs the Ys games.
>>737593831I liked the bump combat. It was interesting to try and hit an enemy at an angle, and bosses would have their own gimmick so you weren't doing the exact same thing. Those games were more fun than a lot of what came after.
>>737588694One of the very, very, very few good remakes to every exist. Mostly because it's basically a new game anyway.
Rance is literally Ys but better.
