Why has the entire marketing campaign for this game become "it's 2D Mario 64"?
>>
>>737590432
Because the game begins on top of Peach’s Castle.
>>
that is possibly the least inspired subtitle ever

Yoshi and the Unexpected Parking Ticket

i know. any game could be called "and the mysterious book". super paper mario and paper jam can both be called "mario and the mysterious book"
>>

Maybe they should have called it "Yoshi's Encyclopedia" Make it more in line with
Yosh's Story
Yoshi's Island
Yoshi's Cookie
Yoshi's Universal Gravitation

Nintendo Autist here. My qualifications are not only did I willingly spend money for every Nintendo Retro Controller Re-Release, but I shill my Nintendo Switch 2 purchase online in my freetime with no compensation whatsoever.
I don't necessarily like the Yoshi platforming games, but they're always interesting to keep up with. Unlike Donkey Kong, Metroid, F-Zero, Nintendo is weirdly really insistent that each console/generation get a new 2D Yoshi title, sometimes multiple (with the exception of the Wii I suppose, but the DS/3DS did a lot of the Yoshi lifting then).
From everything I can see about this game, it looks like soul overload. This game looks like how I remember Paper Mario 64 feeling.
I have absolutely no idea how the gameplay gimmick is going to carry the entire game. It appears as though it's another collect-a-thon platformer with a focus on exploration and interacting with the enemies. I'm not sure if visuals and music alone can carry an experience with absolutely no narrative or story whatsoever. It's like it's going out of it's way to not be an art game, but at the same time not a challenging platformer. Another skip.

is it really true you can't get hurt at all or die? i just feel like thats a strange decision.

It's a game for toddlers.
Deal with it.

okay can you give an actual response instead of gay faggot shit? every single notable yoshi game has had enemies and damage. the original and woolly world were both fantastic games.

and for the record, all video games are for fucking children.

>Encyclopedia
Hell, just call it "Yoshi and the Magical Math Adventure," it would sell the same.
>>
>>737595753
>and woolly world
Then you will like this one as well, retard.
>>
>>737590432
No one, journalist or video, has called it that. Anywhere.
>>
>>737596165
Wrong. Multiple journalist have called it that.
>>

Is this something coming from the game previews? Because I've watched all of the official trailers and it seems more like a linear GoodFeel-like platformer, though I might be wrong considering the different discoveries in each level. I'd be pleasantly surprised if this game turns out to be an actually engaging experience like Woolly World.

Comparing this game to a masterpiece like SM64 is an insult to SM64.

Also lmaoing @ all the tendie drone fucks in these threads doing mental gymnastic coping about how the game will be good/comfy, you're getting a 70 dollar sack of shit for toddlers
>>
>>737590432
Its a Nintenslop game so they have to come up with something
I mean, would anyone play this game if it didn't feature a Mario character
