I pirated one of them and played it for a bit, it was boring as fuck.

The first one is meh. Second one is an improvement in basically every way. They're worth playing if you like action games.

i really enjoyed the first one, gameplay is quite a bit better than your purely functional vn "gameplay" and actually is pretty fun. although i do have a soft spot for ultra minimal japanese AA level design to be fair.

They're low budget but enjoyable. Nice emotional story, nice music and visuals. Gameplay won't challenge you too hard outside one or two bosses but it is fun making your way through the levels and trying to keep your combo up. The main thing that sucks is that 2 basically ends on a cliffhanger and we're obviously never getting a third game.

These games are for anyone who reads the phrase "gothic lesbian vampire action RPG" and immediately purchases. If you feel the slightest hint of apprehension there, you can skip it.

1 felt like a more complete but smaller package, a pretty tight experience with some great moments
2 added a lot of nice characters, but the storytelling kind of drags the whole pacing down, and i hated that you needed multiple playthroughs to 100% it
