More like the left I guess, but I consider how much a certain marker matters to me. Some of them I'll travel across the map for, some can be right in front of me and I'll just keep walking.
>>
>>737596031
It's right except it goes off course and back and forth a few times, then gets back on track for a little only to backtrack again, repeat until it reaches the end point 30 hours later

I prefer to play the superior 3D Fallout entry.
>>

genuinely one of the worst open world maps in gaming, literally crafted so you can follow the same fucking route every playthrough
>>
>>737596031
>side with the Powder Gangers in Goodsprings
>go to the NCRCF and do the quest there until I have to go to Primm
>get the info on the chip and help the town get sheriff Meyers
>do all the quests at the NCR outpost
>return to the NCRCF and kill all the NCR troopers who raid the place
>continue on to Novac -> REPCONN -> Boulder City
>go to the vault with the Powder Gangers and do their quest
>go to Red Rock Canyon and start Great Khans quests
And from then I usually go directly to Freeside or maybe Westside/The Thorn first, depends on my mood
>>
>>737596031
I go straight to hidden valley to get me t-51 armor before i even kill joe cobb and then i use it as a centralized base to kill every legion and raider owned area in the game before i even enter the city.
>>
>>737598891
which route?
>>
>>737596148
yes this is also me
>>
>>737596031
:D
>>
>>737596031
>no random encounters
>enemies dont respawn
what a dogshit game
>>
>>737598891
there are 3 routes and that is far better than 4's
>go south
or 3's
>go 5 feet from this place you already discovered and fast travel to
>>
>>737596031
More like the right, honestly. My problem with every open world RPG is the inner completionist in me wants to do everything around me and then I end up way over leveled for everything.
>>
>>737596148
This one please.

You know I played a pirated copy of new vegas before the DLC came out for years. Back when it took 7 hours to download a game cause we only just got internet in our country ass area and it was 1.2mb downloads.
I played the shit out of that game, beat it at least 3 times over, did the Helios satellite, mr house, Caesar, all that shit. When I start the game now on a copy with all the DLC, it honestly feels like a different, shittier game. I hate it. Can't even play it anymore.

FNV has what, 5 paths for the opening?
>I15 to Highway 95
>I15, sneak onto Monorail
>Go North via the Quarry and Deathclaws
>Go North via the Cazadors
>Scorpion Gultch to Highway 95
There's some overlap between each, but they're all noticeably different in geography and challenge.

I love 3 too, it is more chaotic and sells that you spawned in the middle of an active warzone.
>>
>>737600091
I always loved the density of places in DC versus the sparsity of else where in the map. You spent a lot of time there exploring all those points of interest, so when you did travel to other corners of the map it felt much more like a long journey.

FNV has way more points of interest overall, but they're much more spread out, and the game doesn't really have a strong sense of traveling far and wide once you've finished the early game and hit the strip. The only exception to this is the first trip to Jacobstown, and of course the DLC.

>>737600091
nv supposed to be a warzone too bro

>>737596031
uh no this >>737596148 doesn't happen
huh?

Kinda, its like Waterloo vs Stalingrad.
>>
>>737596148
this is the way
>>
>Start in goodsprings
>9 Luck
>Steal all the moonshine and fusion batteries in the joint
>Grab Snowglobe by graveyard
>Go towards mines with deathclaws
>Sneak through the rightside to Neil's shack and loot more fusion batteries
>Sneak through Black Mountain
>Get to Freeside
>Sell all your shit at the pawn shop/gun runners
>Grab snowglobe in mormon fort
>Go to atomic wrangler
>Play slots until banned
>Buy silenced pistol
>Buy vegas pass
>Snipe Benny in the corner of The Tops and loot chip
>Go steal snow globe in Vault 21
>Go to Lucky 38
>Give house platinum chip
>Go get snowglobe in upper lounge
>Cash in snow globes
>Go play slots in all casinos until banned
>Go to medical center
>Get all the upgrade surgeries
>Fast travel back to Goodsprings
>Begin game proper
>>
>>737601237
I have about half of this autism. I stop at getting banned from the wrangler, so I can get my INT implant to minmax skill points, then I go back to goodsprings. It kinda ruins the pacing of the first half of the game to immediately kill Benny and return the chip.
>>
>>737602508
In Fallout 3 I would start with 9 INT and rush straight to the INT bobblehead trying my absolute damnedest to avoid levelling so that I could get the maximum skillpoints from 10 INT for every single level.
I also would spend hours inside of Operation Anchorage stockpiling an ungodly amount of ammo and getting all of the different weapons/armors so that I could use the corpse storage trick to get more ammo than I would ever need in a playthrough along with weapons and armor with infinite durability.
