I can't "click" with this stupid game, I'm trying to play it along with Dark Souls 3 and I can't fucking even beat the Blood Starved Beast... I'm in Irithyll of the Boreal Valley in DS3 but it's unbelievable I can't even beat the first game of this game...

Ah, the daily Bloodborne thread.

>Blood Starved Beast
Just use the Beyoncé method

I'm just sad there's no randos to play with anymore. I'll sit at the start of old yarnahm around level 30 and get lucky if someone summons me within the next hour.

Also set the beast on fire. You find the flamesprayer before that fight. Or dodge left. All his shit misses if you hug his left.

Fuck your left. Hug his right mean.

>friend played through BB recently
>said he beat Orphan of Kos on his second try
I don't remember how long it took me but it gave me some trouble.
I think he said he was doing the chalice dungeons while I didn't bother with them.
Maybe he was over leveled. That's what I'm telling myself.

Your problem is having severe crippling ADHD

Funnily enough I also didn't struggle to hard with Orphan. You know what kicks my ass and I just don't even bother fighting anymore? Darkbeast Paarl. Yes I know transformed axe spin to win BUT I DON'T WANNA. It's a me issue.
>>
>>737602475
I also beat orphan second try and a popular streamer beat him first time, you just suck
>>
>>737602475
you can cheese him with the tentacle tool or gunparries
he was probably overleveled though
>>
>>737599342
Unironically just dodge left on every attack and you will never be hit by BSB. Throw some pungent blood cocktails against a wall if you're really having trouble, and use fire paper. Iirc you don't need to kill that boss to progress in the game though, can save it for later if you're really having trouble (although chalice dungeons will be locked until you beat it).

>>737599342
just fucking roll. this game literally started the rollslop trend
>>
>>737602475
If he's coming from the newer games I could see it
Orphan was tough when the dlc came out because his first phase moveset has a bunch of delayed rollcatch attacks and his second phase is full of spastic combos
But that stuff isn't novel anymore, early game elden ring bosses do that kinda shit
>>
>>737599342
The gun parry breaks the game in half. Blood-Starved Beast is very likely to kill people, but he can also die super quick by doing the same shit you'd do to later bosses.
>>
>>737599342
just dodge behind it, you don't even need the cheese strat, that's for speedrunners
>>
>>737599342
Fire paper and antidotes
>>
>>737602475
I won on my first attempt, but I may have been overleveled. I think I was level 90 or so by that point.
>>

As other people have said, Orphan of Kos (and most bosses in Bloodborne) have been "skill-creeped" by later game bosses. If you didn't play Bloodborne before those or back when it was more recent, you didn't "truly" play Bloodborne.

Also the Chalice Dungeons have some really difficult boss scenarios even ignoring the large bounty of experience he surely got from them.
