KH3 requires an online update to access the highest difficulty and numerous other gameplay options, not to mention the fucking DLC. I doubt they ever released a complete offline version Offline era died with the PS2 generation, even a lot of PS3 games are incomplete on disc
Publishers don't care about convenience or preservation, they want what makes them the most money. Digital means less manufacturing costs.
