Sure, it's not even $10 on keysites nowadays year round. The story is surprisingly novel for being an anime game, but the 2nd, 3rd, andspinoffs all fuck that. the 4th game tries to reign it back in but it's a soft reboot and still has too much uguumoeslop for my tastes, but gameplay wise is still great.If you like strategy games, give it a try. Just remember that you CAN beat the game with 1 single scout. No mission is ever going to be really challenging unless you TRY to use multiple characters and spread things out.

I like 2 and 3 more cause they at least tried to be original and the story/characters were ok. 4 has by far the worst cast of characters of any of the games and honestly of any game fucking ever. I cannot put into words how unlikable the entire cast is in 4. I did not like one single character even remotely. The story is also dumber than 2's somehow. 3 is the only game that comes closer to being decent but even that sucks.
Yeah and look up guides since each scenario is a solved problem where there is an objectively best way to do each mission. Then you can finish it as quickly as possible and go on to explore new vidya!
