99% of NeoGeo Library is already on Steam, Switch and PS4 through arcade archives series, why make normies buy that fucking hardware and cartridges again? That is a stupid move. They love the Neo Geo, they love SNK, and they want to make it relevant again. Money doesn’t seem to be a major concern—like with many Saudi investments—because if the hardware delivers on its promises, it’s actually pretty cheap. Dirt cheap, even—almost ridiculously so. FPGA-based repro consoles are more expensive

I have an og Neo Geo and a few games and while I have also bought SNK games on Switch, and emulated them (on pc and mister), nothing compares to the feeling of using the original hardware for this particular console. The only problem with the Neo geo is the cost and this solves a lot of that.
