Whatever happened to Hytale? Everyone was playing it like crazy and now I don't see anything about it. This might be the fastest I've ever seen a game be forgotten, especially compared to the hype and how many were playing it. It doesn't even have the "everyone has finished it and moved on" excuse, isn't this supposed to be Minecraft: Terraria Edition?

Everytime there was an update, it breaks mods. This discourage modders from working on the game since this game kept getting update every other week. Its ironic considering Simon wanted Mod to be the focus. That and V2 world gen isn't out. The game is fine as its way better than Vanilla Minecraft, but you can "Finish" it in a few hours.
Shit is still too early so no one cares. From what I heard they hired the Create mod team so who knows. The game might be out but probably won't be relevant for another year at the very least. Until you can make cool airships like with modded MC it'll stay dead.

>>737609512Worst part of the game is the exploration doesn't exist.The map kills any exploration unlike Minecraft where it only shows terrain you've explored. There's no real mining exploration because ores only exist in certain biomes.If you want to get X material, you look on your map for Y biome that has a cave visible and go into the cave and come out with enough of that ore for the rest of the game.That is the whole exploration game loop. Know what materials exist in what biome and use the map to go there.Plus the biome generation is fucking shit. Biomes are small, lack translation into neighbouring biomes and don't have any consistency.
