Why do mutants act like they're oppressed? I doubt people who can manipulate metal or invade your mind just by looking at you or regenerate from a single atom are an "oppressed minority group."

They’re both. Being a mutant is the worst fate anyone can have in Marvel canon. Meanwhile if you got your powers from experiments or in an accident like the F4 or a god like Thor or an alien you’re instantly loved. To add insult to injury aliens, greek, norse gods and even demons from hell all despise mutants.
