I'm glad not every game has active reloading, but it really is a good mechanic. It's literally just an excuse to press more buttons which is literally the point of video games, but it quickly just becomes muscle memory when you play. It's basically just ki pulsing if you think about it
What does that even mean retard, so would be hiding behind cover, shooting and playing as a Xboxhuge faggot.
>>737616501>pressing buttons in a video game is forced mechanics
>>737616501This is only kind of QTE I enjoy, but QTEs in general are cancer. Random QTE in cutscenes are the worst thing that happened to video games after micro-transactions.
>>737616501It's artificial gameplay and doesn't actually make the main game more fun.
i like this one a lot actually because its an abstraction of how in combat you can still fuck up a reload despite doing it 100 times before.
>>737616501it's bit too easy for my liking. perfect reload should be like 2 frame window
>>737616501ADS is a forced mechanic
>>737616501It's fun.
>>737616501Ludo mechanic
>>737619904It makes no sense too. Compared to real life that is.

>>737617185>QTEs are actually good because it's just pressing buttons
I humbly propose a system with a more satisfying risk/reward
>>737620504Swap the position of the super and normal.
>>737620704why?
>>737620504put tiny slivers of yellow at the ends of green and you have to hit both for perfect reload. first gives extra damage and second speeds up the reload.
>>737619527Yeah I think it should be harder too to stop everyone's Gnasher being a 1 shot.

>>737616501Gears of War as a franchise has nothing but the most fucking boring cover based shooters ever and all active reload did to those games is make me pay attention to just how fucking tedious they are to play.I am dedicating muscle memory just so I could play fucking less of it by reloading quicker to pop out of cover faster to shoot shambling fucking damage sponges.I wish death to any game dev that implements an active reload.
