Why aren't you making a game, anon? I thought you had good taste.
>>737617056too many games to play, idk how i'd ever have time to also make a game. But thank game dev chads
>>737617056only interesting in programming, so everytime i start i just twiddle the engine and don't do anything actually useful.
Only interested in music, so I just end up vaguely worldbuilding while writing soundtracks
>>737617056>Spend 10000 hours learning to 3D model, code, and make music and graphics>Game probably still shitty GDscript and slop
>>737617284Make prog rock or power metal
only interested in writing, so every time I start I just make storyboards and dialogue
stuck doing ECS plumbing right now, and then UI tools, and then a level editor, and then i can start actually making the game lmao
i can see were this is going and i'd like to make very clear i would never collaborate with any of you losers
>>737617249>>737617284>>737617419Hey, you should work together
I have this idea for a game but I don't know anything about programing and have no idea where to start.
>>737617786just learn godot and start making it.
Im too lazy, its ok until i have to do something
>>737617056I am making a game. Honestly it's a lot easier to make anything other than a video game.
>>737617056Godette is a retarded mascot for redditors. Why isn't it the fucking robot and why isn't it a better looking robot?
I'm making one but I'm a lazy nigger
>>737617786Literally just start with the latest Unreal engine, it's fucking free, and use Blueprints. Claire Obscura was made entirely with Blueprints. It's coding for dummies. If you get stuck, just follow a youtube tutorial or send screenshots to a LLM and treat it as your manager. Both routes will eventually teach you the basics if you bother to focus, and you'll be able to spit out a playable shitty demo within a month of dedicated work if it's a simple third-person game (which unreal is best for). Work towards a single game mechanic that's easy to iterate on (i.e a driving game where you have explosive cargo)By the time you've got a hang of Blueprints, you'll have a much better base for coding. Autists will tell you just to learn code, but honestly, it's better to dip your toes in and learn about some basic game design and how to work with an engine's quirks first. Game dev has unironically never been easier to enter. That ease is also why games are arguably declining in quality (devs are lazier), but indie studios now have a big competitive advantage against AAA slop too.
>>737617056I'm addicted to 4chan, video games, anime, youtube, and porn.
Mine is very janky as it is still a work in progress but I have transformations back in now.
>>737617056Im too retarded to learn to code. I am actually incapable of comprehending or abstracting programming concepts and how they relate to games. I want to make a game though.
>>737618727Lucky yout. 25 hours playtime in the past 2 weeks, 20 episodes of anime watches in the last 4~ months, literally nothing on youtube and barely even touch my JAV folder
>>737617056Uoohh godot cunny
>>737617056I've been learning drawing and pixel art for my game. Been practicing for a bit less than a year now.Pixel art is fine oddly enough, but full size drawings of characters are so difficult to do even with cartoony proportions, my results are still very inconsistent.I wish I could find a good method for learning to draw online, but all I can find are variants of "draw 10'000 cubes everyday" which really don't help me at all, or lesons on drawing hyper realistic things which I have no interest in.
>>737619282Trace ai art, use it as practice. Then make your own based on it.
>>737617450play factorio and try to get to the rocket as fast as possible that should cure your autism
>>737617056sex with godettewhile Waiting for Juan™
>>737619402Too late anon, the NIH is too addicting.
>>737618794it's a pathetic souls rip off scrap the project and start again with an actually good idea unless you are doing it as some kind of mental exercise
>>737619552The GBC might cure you
>>737617056I'm too lazy. Too lazy to program, but more importantly, too lazy to actually think about the game itself.
>>737618794Looks cool anon, you've definitely got a good eye on the aesthetic. Stamina bar seems a little bugged but I'm sure you know that. Animations definitely janky but for a first pass, they're functional. It's pretty easy to iterate on anims later down the line I find. The butterfly effect is kino. Transformation is pretty cool but I'd like to know more about the gameplay behind that. I like the Dark Souls world you've built from just that small clip, if I was a player, I'd like to see more fun exploration options with a 'dead' open world like Shadow of the Colossus. I like the PS3 aesthetic but if you want to go high-fantasy, having the transformation mode open up more traversal options could be cool. Really allow you to speed across the map.If it's a DS1 - DS2 style dungeon crawler obviously avoid that -- or go Castlevania style and allow unlockable traversal options to open up new sections of a connected 'large' dungeon.Foundation is bretty gud, I'd start thinking of mechanics next basically.
>>737617056I'm making a mahjong game in bevy.
>>737617056I'm over gamedev threads on 4chan, the culture has gotten too cancerous.
>>737617056it's already over for me. 0 game created (rpg maker games don't count)
>>737619572Oh it is gonna be great anon just you wait.>>737620587Thank you! The first area needs more work but it have an older janky fly through video I made a while back. The animations took a back seat once I started working on mechanics like saving, world persistence but will fix them up soon. i intend on the transformations to be semi gamebreaking to overpower monsters. The game saves a ton of things, the main premise is discovering why monsters and mercenaries started forming there, enemies killed play a role in summoning the 4 main bosses. I have a lot fleshed out already it just needs mmore polish.Summons and transformations are from past warriors who didn't make it.
I made a game already. Nobody boughted. So I won't make it again
>>737622528what was the game
>>737617056>I thought you had good taste.I do and they dont make those games anymore. You know why? They dont sell
>>737618875What the fuck do you even do?
>>737617056I cant even finish my backlog.
>>737620587Shut up retard
