Why are all Cthulhu games so bad after Shadow of the Comet?There's such a deep lore but it's never used in the games. They're so atrociously boring and poorly done.
Modern videogame writers don't actually read literature, so all of their knowledge about Lovecraft is taken from other audiovisual pop culture.

Lovecraft didn't really flesh out his shit much at all because he didn't really care to. He was mostly just writing spooky short stories. And they weren't all about "cosmic horror". He also wrote about things like good old fashioned zombies.
