How many games are you taking a break from right now?
>>

Nigger
>>
>>737621564
why all games from like 2010 up to like 2014 had messages telling to take a break and then suddenly no games had them anymore?
>>
>>737621789
Do you really gotta ask that question, anon? Come on, I know you know. It starts with an M
>>
>>737621564
I can see taking a break if it's a multiplayer competitive game just to get your mental right, but for single player games sometimes you have to ride the rage wave. Real gamers know what I mean.

Just Death Stranding 2, I like to take breaks from time to time to avoid burnout. Once i'm done taking this massive poo though i'll wipe my anus then get back to playing it (after washing my hands naturally).

>to get your mental right
holy fucking redditor
>>
>>737621564
None. I play them until I’m done with them, put them down and never look back.
>>
>>737621826
Mario?
>>
>>737621564
None, but at some point I'm going to install Lies of P. I only played the demo and I know the full game will force me to take a break.

Who makes these retarded images
>>
>>737621564
I DON'T take breaks
I bash my head against the wall until THE FUCKING WALL BREAKS

No More Heroes 3 has interstitial screens that remind the player to "REMEMBER! only game for 12 hours a day!"

Only one. I reached New Game+ which unlocks a bunch of hard challenges I wanted to check out, but a boss that becomes optional in NG+ still holds a very useful item. That boss almost made me drop the game on the first way through so I'll probably quit the game now before even attempting those challenges.
>>
>>737622289
I powered through some of the parts of Silksong by sheer force of autism.
I never play safe in those games, I just go full aggro so I die a lot.
At the end I didn't even feel relief.
>>
If I ever take a break from a game it's because I never really liked it and was forcing myself to play it or I've played it enough.
>>
>>737621564
None.
I thought the take a break shit was meant as in "try that boss again tomorrow", not "stop playing the game altogether for days/weeks"
Is this a strawman thread or do people actually do this?
>>
>>737621564
>Play challengin game
>have fun
>Game gets overwhelming, take a break
>Later fele the desire to come back, usually start from scratch but go farther each time
>After multiple attempts I finally beat it and it feels great

>Play easy game
>Complete autopilot entire time
>Feel nothing
>Get bored before I could finish it
>No desire to ever come back

Breaks are for pussy loser bitches like you

The games that push punishing difficulty but you feel exhausted playing are the video games that you should not be playing if the fun never comes back. I learned this pretty early with Dark Souls or even all of those character action Japanese games in general. But i foolishly ended up finishing the games that tried to filter me and i regretted it.
I realized there are hard games that i enjoy and ones that i do not. If you were forcing yourself to be interested in the first place then just go play something that you do enjoy. Because even when you fuck up numerous times you feel the need to want to come back because the failure is actually enjoyable.

former is for difficulty, latter is for burnout
image was likely made by some absolute autist who can't comprehend either or just to bait engagement
