I've exhausted as much fun and personal investment out of GTA 4. Super overrated and kind of middle of the road, especially after playing the superior Mafia 2. I'd like to ask what alternatives you recommend, not including Mafia 2. I heard Sleeping Dogs is good.

The remasters are also buggy and shit (I don't know how many times it crashed when I tried to play it on PS5, but I gave up ultimately). >>737628091To be honest, the open worlds in both games aren't really wholly what I'm playing the games for. I prefer Mafia 2's because it backs off the pretense that its world is anything more than just a place for missions to take place. All the "extra" stuff mattered nil to me and M2 focused its efforts on a more investible story, better shootouts, mechanics, and game feel.

Mafia 2 is not even comparable in any single way except there's a mildly interesting part where you have to acquire currency in anyway you can imagine in the very last parts of the game, and the choices are mostly open.I know they did some dlc stuff where you just go on rampage in the open world for real this time but it's not super interesting.
