Klonoa? Why?
This series does have problems besides the shit fandom who belongs in prison being killed by inmates. Klonoa is a game series that insisted on being 2D while 3D gaming took over the industry. That's a huge strike against it.The other problems is the image of the series is not appealing to most gamers. Think about it, during the PS2 era platformers were being criticized and few were thriving and the ones that did like Ratchet and Clank had cool elements like gun shooting mechanics. Sly Cooper is about sleek cool criminal characters. Klonoa? Klonoa looks babyish and worse the characters talk in that STUPID sounding infantile fictional language that again enhances the series presentation as being babyish.And the final thing killing Klonoa is the gameplay is not exactly fun. Platformers were already a difficult sell during the PS2 but puzzle platformers? You're doubly asking for failure. Klonoa's genre is not popular even among regular platforming fans which enabled further why Klonoa and similar examples like Blinx the Time Sweeper ended up failing.Yeah the fandom is shit but Klonoa has flaws and failings built into its very DNA to the point its not a shocker that the gaming industry did not like this property one bit hence it failed. And it needs to be said that Klonoa's design is a huge negative flaw because he looks retarded with the Disney Dumbo style huge ears. Whether you want to admit it or not people gravitate to cooler looking characters and Klonoa doesn't look cool, if anything he looks somewhat effeminate and it doesn't help that during the ending of Klonoa 2 one of the characters says Klonoa resembles a goddess aka a feminine deity. So Klonoa's design alone would deter many who aren't degenerate freaks.That said carry on with this shit thread, I'm hiding it now.
