Why is it that as the years go by it seems like there's less and less mentions about Witcher 3 in the GOAT conversations?
>>
There's only so many times you can replay it. I'm currently replaying now though. About to do the lighthouse quest in skellige, kind of shitty how you gotta get locked up and shit but if I don't do it before I decide who is going to be king (hjalmar, ceres pisses me off) I'll miss the chance to help madman lugos's son in that neat dream cave
>>
because better games were released after 2015

MSQ aged like shit and you can't have sex with Anna Henrietta. Both dragged the game down.

Because there isn't much to discuss about it except for which sorcereress you want to fuck

Because while it does a lot of good, it doesn't blow anyone away. It's a fun game, it has replayability, the DLC is pretty damn good, but the base game gets repetitive and the combat leaves a lot to be desired. I did multiple playthroughs and only needed to use Quen and Light Attacks. The combat is piss easy and you can swing well above your weight class with little to no difficulty. I'm not saying "the game gets a knock for being easy", because most games are easy when you learn them. It's just that the combat itself is pretty lackluster. Overall it's still a great game, but it's nowhere near GOAT conversations.
Its DLC may be up there in greatest DLCs/Expansions though. Blood and Wine and Hearts of Stone both kicked ass.
>>
>>737631619
It's better.
>>
>>737630964
The fact that you always have to play as Geralt and can't make your own character severely limits how fun it can be.
>>
>>737630964
anyone that thinks this game is good hasnt actually played this piece of shit.

It's 11 years old. It had very strong legs though, inspite of the fact that it's a fixed protag RPG without much sandboxing to go on.

Replaying this is like rewatching game of thrones

If Witcher 3 had Bloodborne level combat it would be the greatest game of all time by a wide margin
>>
>>737631212
BGS3, ER, BOTW
>>
>>737634339
Bloodborne has the worst combat in any game.
>>
>>737634339
The reason why Bloodborne is still talked about today is because ER is a recent release and GOTY winner. It would have been forgotten otherwise.
>>
>>737630964
The Witcher series was heavily overrated

Never really thought what was special about it
>>

Gooks spam it. That's it. It's a worthless game.

For RPGs, Divinity Original Sin 2.
>>
>>737631212
If the conversion is around open world games I'd play over TW3 since 2015, that'd be BotW/TotK, Elden Ring, and RDR2.
>>
>>737634852
Bloodborne is trannyslop and those games get more discussion on the internet than normal ones.
>>
>>737630964
You're going to be seeing plenty of those comments all over again when the new expansion pack drops in the not so distant future.

Witcher 1 and 2 are better, and CYBERPUNK 2077 is better.

Witcher 3 is pure normiecore, hence the diehard fans simply moved to whatever mass market game was supposed to be the best ever. RDR2, Cyberpunk, Baldur's Gate 3, E33, etc. It was never considered an all time game on its own merits, in fact Witcher diehards prefers 1 to 3

>>737634852
>ER is a recent release
Elden Ring is four years old, it's older now than Dark Souls was when Bloodborne came out
>>
>>737635104
It's basically Crimson Desert but with a story and real actors.

You don't need to constantly reaffirm the obvious

Yes, anon this game that sold 50 million copies and continues to sell another 6 each year is forgotten. How delusional are you?

>bloodborne discussion
genuinely what discussion?
lore 'discussion' ended years ago, who still talks about that shit? outside of the lore there's artificial discussion being driven by autists who talk about builds, even though by RPG metrics soulshit is really barebones in terms of builds, combat and RPG.

What are you going to talk about in terms of build, completing the same 15 hour game for the 9th time using one of the few weapons available, minmaxing one of the few stats, and in the end it's all fundamentally the same R1 parry/rollslop combat?

and the lore? I broke it down a long time ago, myself, by writing notes and piecing things together unlike the soulsborne audience that gets their lore from bedtime story youtube channels like vaati.

Meanwhile, Witcher 3 still has baller numbers of players today. I know without looking it up that there's miminum 15k people logged on steamcharts running W3 right now. 11 years old single player RPG btw.

And discussion? still exists, people were still solving mysteries in relation to the quests up until a few years ago. There's a massive modding community that is now building whole new quests and scenarios from the ground up, not tranny skins and character editor presets.

Witcher 3 honestly mogged basedborne 11 years ago, and it still mogs it today. Fucking based game. Fuck, I'll reinstall it right now. It's been a while. And I know I'll have a blast because unlike the repetition you'd get out of most souls games in TW3 there's heaps of quests with their own decision trees through which you can spice stuff up and try different paths and conclusions.
>>
>>737636227
Mindbroken by FromGODS. Shitcher 3 is normalfag goyslop btw
>>
>>737636227
Bloodborne inspired alot of other games down the road. It has a niche market and discussion today revolves around level design and weapons. TW3 has nothing going for gameplaywise. Not a single memorable boss fight.

Insane to me that fucking FALLOUT 4 and MGS V got more awards than Bloodborne. Journos are truly daft.

Both Bloodborne and Witcher 3 are still kino though.

It was the first RPG that normies played, now that normies have played more games they understand that it's a dime a dozen game.
>>
>>737630964
What makes you think that? Did you do any research? Those threads are one of the dumbest.
>>
>>737634339
I had the same thought when I played it. Damn, 2015 was wild for me. Playing both W3 and Bloodborne.
>>
Retroactively, I think less of great games when it takes over ten years for a sequel. It feels like wasted momentum.
>>
>>737630964
It's the greatest video game of all time for me, or at least in top ten, I change my opinions based on vibes as everyone else so naturally there's no consistent objective one perfect game. TW3 is very good though.
>>
>>737631149
After? Bloodborne and Xenoblade Chronicles X came out the same year lel.
>>
>>737637931
I dont think Ive seen a game with more staying power. It still gets discussed a decade later. On the other side of the spectrum is astrobot that was forgotten 6 months later.
>>
>>737630964
I still don't understand how could anyone play it without playing previous games let alone reading books

It's straightforward to get into and there's so many codexes giving you all the backstories and despite the fact you are objectively missing out on tons of references and not understanding the fan service, it's pretty easy to enjoy as a standalone title and you won't really be confused at all.
