Another performance PSA. Discord by default runs video recording software in the background while you're gaming. It's the least efficient video recording I've ever seen. It's been stealing 10% of my GPU performance for at least a year while it's running.I know Discord is shit but I'm just telling you it's even shittier than you think, for when you need to game with your normie friends. Turn off clipping in the settings to fix it. But before you do, run a game while using Discord and go to task manager. The two things hogging your GPU will be the game, rightfully, and then up to 15% will be Discord.It's been driving me crazy why sometimes a single player game ran shitty and I'd have to restart my computer. It's because I just got done playing a multiplayer game with friends and still had Discord running.

I prefer rasterized and more stylized lighting and shadows, it's similar to how say the Dune or Blade Runner movies are made, imagine if they were made with accurate lighting and shadows instead of stylized overexaggereted angles, it would lose all charm, raytracing is very unappealing to me and I don't see how games ever truly consistently benefit from it in most scenes. PC gaming is just too appealing compared to consoles due to access to mods and piracy, quite frankly I could never go back to PlayStation, it'd feel like too many restrictions.
