This shit is going to be biggest scam in recent memory
>>
this shit can be emulated. who the fuck wants this except a niche group of sad boomers?
>>
>>737634275
zoomers that think retro gaming is cool that will play it for 20 minutes and throw it in a closet
>>
how is it scam if people get what they want. sure it's niche group of people but that's how it is
>>
>>737634395
>Biggest selling point is how allegedly it is 1:1 totally not emulation or fpga yet fuck all has been shown
> Release date is only a couple of months away in other words it should be ready for production
This shit reeks of bullshit
>>
>>737634173
Sony should do the same with the PS2, I'm sure lots of people would eat it up
>>
>>737634661
what's there to show
>>
>>737635061
Gee I dunno the cartridge pcb, aes pcb, arcade stick guts
Video output test the HDMI and analogue output
Gameplay comparison with a real AES & MVS including the sound.
Nah brah just trust me 1:1 replica
>>
Neo Geo was cool but I'm really struggling to think of games you'd play on it that didn't already get much cheaper rereleases/aren't part of Fightcade.
>>
>>737635337
Morons and their money part quickly.
>>
>>737634173
Can they please do another run of Backwards Compatible PS3?
>>
-
>>
>>737634173
Right
>>
I think getting new neo geo sticks is the main selling point for me.
>>
>>737639240
Even that is a big question mark. The original AES and bean stick used a Seimitsu.LS22. This.stick hasn't been in production since the mid 90s.
Again for something that prides itself upon being a 1:1 just like the original they sure are tight lips about details
>>
All of that mone going straigh into a Saudi prince's bank account
>>
>>737639863
who cares
>>
>>737639863
What, you want me to cry over journalists getting their comeuppance or something?
>>
>>737634275
Exactly us. We're many. We're even more than they expected, than you expected.
I am getting the full thing, and will slap a 161 roms in one cartridge on top of it.
The original, the antique, is 1000$ and can blow a fuse that can't be replaced.
That one can be repaired and play old cartridges.
We might even see new games for that system now.
>>
>>737634173
It's "Based" as they say.
>>
>>737634173
it's literally the mister fpga core ported to an asic. you are buying an overpriced mister that can only play 1 fucking core
>>
>>737643531
But I don't want A Mister, I could get that If I wanted, I want to fuck around with comically huge cartridges.
Have you seen the size of these things?
>>
>>737641570
>can blow a fuse that can't be replaced.
>something as simple as a fuse
>"can't be replaced"
retard
>>
>>737644731
Your mom was a fuse, when she blown up, she got you.
>>
>>737634173
Nah. The new Ataris are scams that only offer HDMI out. This is legit.
>>
>>737634173
>the beginning of something new
>a rehashed console
luh mao
>>
>>737644731
not that anon, and not reltaed to vidya consoles, but i've tried to hack rechargeable batteries and the controlling electronics will brick a battery if it is deemed unsafe. it's possible to reset the permanent failure bit in these chips, but only if you can solve a cryptographic challenge to unlock the chip. this is how refurbishing a battery is done after repairs are made.
>>
>>737634173
What exactly is a scam about it?
>>737634275
Second post and the emulatorfags are already showing their insecurity.
>>
>>737639863
Good, at least it's not a jew.
>>
>>737634661
The hardware's over 30 years old. Why wouldn't we be able to reproduce and miniaturize it in a cost effective manner?

i've been designing my own tile-based graphics circuit
i have the digital logic worked out, and wrote an in-browser emulator for it the past month to verify the design.
i want to implement it in FPGA and eventually something like TTL so people can build it.
my next project is to design the sound circuit.
it's somewhere in power between an NES and SNES (closer to the latter) with resolution a little worse than the gameboy.

Why hide good news then?
Show the goods
