So when your budget is higher you don't actually want your game to be too sexy that it repels people. And too sexy can mean multiple things at once.How far do the sexy elements go? Compare a game with only jiggling boobs with a game that lets you touch the girl in different areas and having her moan and stuff. And what percentage of the game is focused on the sex appeal? Compare a harem RPG where all the girls have huge tits and revealing designs and half the dialogue are innuendos, versus a regular RPG with a normal cast and just one of them happens to have a bikini armor. Plausible deniality is also important. Gacha games can get away with appealing to a small audience because they focus on whales, not the total amount of customers. Even non-gacha ecchi games focus on DLC and merchandise.I do think sex appeal can increase sales to a degree but it has to be a bonus and not take it too far. Dead or Alive and Soulcalibur are 2 good examples of threading that line.
