The fun is in self-improvement in clicking more buttons more accurately than before. Seeing the progress and having a goal to move towards (full clearing a certain difficulty before moving onto next for example.) Will give you a routine to follow.

no one uses osu as an aim trainer. one overwatch player (back when people played that) tried to use osu as an aim trainer then he just became an osu player because he figured out its just a rhythm game, and not an aim trainer. it doesnt even improve your aim in other games

I don't play standard osu personally but I love mania. Rhythm games in general are just 100% gameplay, so it's pretty easy to see the appeal.

Why not? Something like Bad Apple touhou map would be great for warming up to a CS to get your hands ready. It has bunch of sliders, zig-zags and jumps and even some spins. Basically everything as a variety map. Obviously the guy from prior when it came to the short is just memeing because he doesn't understand how hand eye-coordination builds up between different games.
