Should I get the original version or Scholar of the First Sin?

Get Scholar. Tanimura stitched all the pieces together there and added a secret boss + an ending that brings the game, its lore, and its beauty to absolute perfection.
>>
original has enb support and scholar has pathtracing support
>>
Original but downgrade to version 1.0 on the ps3 so you get to experience the true shrine of amana

Original has infinitely more sensible monster and item placement, but you may find the shift to asscancer trash mobs in the DLC jarring. Scholar is shitty trash mobs pissing you off the entire time so it feels more consistent.

scholar is better in every way, also you have to get it to play online
>>
Get Sotfs and then install seeker of fire mod
>>
scholar is fine i enjoyed it idk
>>
A better question would be, when it comes to PS360, should I get DS2 vanilla or SotFS? and if I do get vanilla, should I get the dlc's?
Only answer this question if you have high insight.

I have never played scholar because I got the game on pc when it released and I've replayed that version every time. haven't even played the dlcs. the game is fine as is and I enjoy it so scholar and dlc are not really needed to make the game good.

They're fundamentally different games.
Kinda like a master quest from zelda, honestly, just play the original if you REALLY like it, you can get SotFS by an upgrade purchase a lot more cheaper.

7th gen Scholar is just the original game with the DLCs bundled. The only reason to bother with vanilla would be if you're really curious about the unpatched 1.0 experience. I'm playing it now and it just feels like an unfinished version of 8th gen Scholar with barely playable framerate, you're missing nothing remotely interesting
