I don't watch tranime so i was never affected by this before but now that i started playing japa games and try to google things about them, seems there's such massive difference in character personalities or the story itself and it's all thanks to translators doing whatever the fuck they please with the translation.

Why do they even do that? Like it always bothered me when in remakes they make things "non problematic" or "for modern audiences" fully ruining the previous stories.
But now you're telling me this doesn't happen only in remakes, but in just the exact same game being translated?

That's fucking insane. Like that FF 14 character being made "trans" in the English version but being a bio woman in Japan. How does this even happen??? Can't japas just sue for literally mangling their story and characters?

I'd be pretty upset if i write a book and whoever translates it makes all my characters black and trans.

they lack skill to make anything worth a shit themselves so they use "translating" other people's stuff their creative outlet

I was planning on playing this game on launch and then say how shit the translation was so I didn't buy it. I was planning on playing it in Japanese anyway but I didn't want to give money to them for hiring retards.
