The Switch 2 controller has a shitty D-pad too. You can trigger up or down even if your finger is just on the far right or left edge.Simply moving your thumb up and down when on left or right, activates up/downd directions, which causes the unwanted diagonal inputs so common in crappy Chinese D-pads (like the garbage from 8Shitdo).When it comes to controller hardware, Nintendo is literally on the same level as Chinese e-junk.

I only managed to resolve it when I bought Hori controllers (the Pokkén Pad and the Hori Pro Controller with a detachable D-pad). By the way, this latest Hori Pro Controller (which I don't think is manufactured anymore), has the most precise D-pad I've ever used in my life, and it's what I use to play Tetris Grandmaster 4 because I can play extremely fast while making minimal mistakes.However, controllers from 8Shitdo, the Switch Pro Controller 1, the Switch Pro Controller 2, the PS5 DualSense, etc., all of these FALL SHORT when it comes to the D-pad.
