there are a decent amount. there has just been a lull in their creation in the mid 10s until juct recently because the american frontier/colonial setting had become a bit touchy/taboo. most games that DO use the setting are some sort of weird west/horror twist to avoid focus on the hard to speak of parts of the setting. gonna come up with a list of ones i enjoyed and post it in a minute.

the answer is always feckless publishers and the general decline of major release libraries. when enough slots are removed your niche game premise dies.
