Indie games were promised as a safe haven from all the corposlop that we've been getting for years, a return to form, all the power in the hands of true gamers (tm), yet 99% of it is pure fucking dogshit.

It's time to acknowledge that the industry has suffered too many loses in the creative department and only retards make games nowadays. Copies of copies, of copies. Pure fucking nothing.

Triple A games will never be the same like they were during the ps2,ps3,xbox and xbox 360 and early ps4 and xbox one. They are filled with Clcorporate exacts that only want to make money and don't really care about fun games while indie games are ran by half of the time woke libs from L.A who never played games so they copy other games in hopes that they will become just as successful. The game industry is dying and it needs to bie to be reborn like a Phoenix. My advice just play old games and never buy a new game again and if you want to try to revive this dying media try making your own game in hopes this could heal the decaying game industry.

Well yeah, why would I play terrible games? If you're curious, my last indie was Cuphead.

>time to acknowledge
Everyones been dogpiling on indies for being trend-chasing doppelgangers since Steam Greenlight.
You think the average opinion of roguelike deckbuilders, survival crafters, "cozygames" and first-person horrors on /v/ is remotely positive?

Yeah, market blows. Don't bother with videogames unless they look interesting to you.

Agreed. People forget that gaming almost died in the 1980s. There is always booms and busts and if they keep up this corporate fuckery there is going to be another huge bust.

dunno about that, i often hear how indies are saving gaming and we have more good games than ever because of them. granted these opinions come from the cattle so im sure they would eat triple a shit too

The home console market, that was literally one console and was horrifically outdated by PC engines and arcades at the time (which were completely unaffected and had plenty of games), "crashed" for about 6 months by following expected market decline of that single shitty old console before another showed up and the market magically tripled.

The '83 crash was Warner Brothers buying the dip and then crying about it and everyone making fun of them for it. It's never going to happen again.

99% of everything is dogshit. Threads like these are designed to get people to mire themselves in it.

90s and 00s had good games coming out every month, now you're lucky if you get one good game a year.
