>>737673745On top of everything else the game actively discourages you from ever engaging in boss fights aside from the final boss. Your party will get hit with a dozen debuffs even if the fight goes well and then they'll hate each other for the rest of the run which will fuck you over very hard.Also Dragons Dogma 2

>>737674706Well in DD1 and 2 you can get some nice trinkets from boss fights. The difference is in DD1 you can swap your party out after a boss fight and bench anyone that's really stressed or otherwise fucked up, and since it's right at the end of a dungeon usually the aftermath is very manageable. In DD2 you have to continue the rest of the run with the same heroes unless you replace one with the bounty hunter, and in my experience you're just always better off avoiding any optional bosses because the relationship mechanic punishes you really hard.
