Do I need to watch the James Bond movies first before picking this up? I really like World of Assassination and unlike most people I like Uncharted too so it feels like they made this game specifically for me, except that I don't know anything about James Bond.
No, but you should watch Casino Royale cause its pure kino.
You should marathon the whole series because it is kino
I watched Dr. No and its a lot more grounded than I thought aside from pic rel. Though zoomer that I am I don't know if I have enough mental energy in me to go through the rest of the earlier films, I have Goldeneye and Casino Royale ready to watch too but I'm kinda curious to see as to when the funny gadgets start appearing.
>>737684816Watch Goldfinger, it's the best of the Connery era
>>737681332Just play GoldenEye, Nightfire, Agent Under Fire and Everything or Nothing if you want decent Bond vidya, this shit is your run of the mill modern live service slop
Brosnan > Connery > Dalton > Craig > Lazenby > Moore
>>737685098is it fine to skip From Russia With Love?
>>737684816>I watched Dr. No and its a lot more grounded than I thought aside from pic relThe movie is more grounded than the book. In the book Bond fights a giant squid and kills Dr. No by literally (and I mean actually literally) burying him in bird poop.
>>737681332>I like Uncharted tooYou're scaring me off it. I was promised Hitman and i hate Uncharted and any of Naughty Dogs movie games. I'm still not sure what to make of it and if it's too action oriented. None of the Bond films have carrying over stories aside from each Bond iteration over the years. You are uncultured swine for not watching 007 films on the other hand.
>>737685759When I say that I really mean the hectic brawler-shooter aspect of Uncharted more than the setpiece heavy movie game thing that it popularized (which I don't mind desu), and First Light seems to be taking a lot of cues from that series of games in both aspects. At the same time I like the sandbox and replayability of the Hitman games which surely IOI is well aware of given how the game looks in all the previews so far. Best case scenario is that it's going to be structured like how Hitman 3 is with the big playground levels being connected together with the action/setpiece/HQ stuff in between. There'll be combat trials too iirc from the latest video they shared so maybe people wanting more action could go find their fill there. The only doubt that I have is them being able to make the gameplay flow as smoothly as it appears to be considering the jank that the Hitman games are known for.I'm just not really a movie guy until recently, always been more of a weeb so I've been trying to catch up.
