Isn’t it still like 5 days away from release?I dunno why reviews dropped so early. Better than hiding them until release day I guess, but a whole week early feels like it’s killing hype, people see reviews saying it’s great, and get excited for game they probably havnt paid much attention to, but the modern attention span is so fucked that people completly forget within the week long gap between reviews and release date.

>>737682074I really liked returnal a lot but this game just looks like Returnal but worse. Returnal didn't waste your time, the house scenes make up maybe 10 minutes of total play time. Saros seems to be designed around le downtime to talk to NPCs with uncanny face scanned faces back at base after every other run, and that is strictly worse. Not only that, but the game is designed around permanent upgrades, meaning that either the game is impossible to beat without investing in the skill tree (unlikely) or the skill tree ends up causing the player to out-progress the difficulty with rpg mechanics (more likely).There are no other options and both outcomes are bad. Returnal but stuff like second wind behind parasites that had some drawbacks which was more interesting than just unlocking it in a skill tree.Maybe I'll cave and end up buying it on release day but right now I actually feel no desire to play it, especially because gameplay wise it really is just returnal and minor additions like an absorption shield don't really change the core of it. I don't really need more returnal, I already have returnal.
