Does this make a good PCVR headset with the adapter?
>>737687048Im about so sell it.I used it like twice or 3 times.I get dizzy. Its not impressive.I thought all my field of vision would be inmserved in a virtual world but It was more like a big screen floating in front of you.
It's about on par with a Quest 2/3S(PSVR2 has OLED but worse image clarity), the Q3 will be noticeably better. Although it might be worth it to avoid the Meta OS experience
Wait for the Steam Frame
It's ok if you can get it cheap, but the Quest 3 and Steam Frame is probably a better investment
>>737687118>I get dizzy.You're brown.
>>737687048Fuck no just get a quest 3 or wait for the steam frame
Quest 2 (refurbished or used) for the absolute minimum proper experience and you are a poor 3rd worlder or just want to look at pornQuest 3 for the actual experienceSteam frame will probably be the best but you have to give gaben more money for his fat ozempic ass
>>737687048bruh im only ever buying pcvr but that's me. every camera based VR gameplay i see on yt has wonky tracking but no one complains it seems looleven lighthouse has wonkiness at times. my particular setup is kinda busted atm. but im def never messing with meta/camera based garbage, any savings would be very small.
>>737687886>>737687191>>737687217Lack of USB streaming is concerning with the Steam Frame
>>737687886>every camera based VR gameplay i see on yt has wonky trackingwhat do you mean? lets see an example.
>>737689819literally every gameplay ever uploaded to ythttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itzeVxeiMwQ>looks like the game is running at sub 45 fps, probably not just a jittery recording >weapon rotation and position is clearly self-correcting by a lot more than a few mm in every frame>hand movement alone likely doesn't explain all that shakiness>tracking precision directly influences how well you do in competitive mp games like this onei actually don't even know which headset that youtuber is using, but i can immediately tell that this is not pcvr just by looking at it
>>737689205it's using foveated streaming and a dedicated 6ghz dongleyou're not going to need a cable
>>737687048Yeah, I've it. It's definitely better with battery free headset and steamVR. I use it mainly for sim racing and it comfortable for longer hours. Barely even gets hot. Not regretting this purchase.
>>737690449Lol the jitter is human error. It takes a lot of practices to keep steady aim.Should have seen me when I started playing VR shooters. Parkinson city. The footage looks like ass because the guy is playing the game natively on the quest and using same recording feature which rapes the framerate even more. On PC it's a silky smooth 120fps on a 4060.There's real compromises with lighthouse vs slam tracking like dead angles behind your back or controller occlusion when two-handing a pistol but accuracy wise it's exactly the same. There's plenty of people that went from Index to Quest, playing on PC, and despites all the overhead and delay added from streaming they're stilll as cracked as they used to be.
>>737691627Batteryless wired seems like a big benefit for long sessions or seated games like flight and race sims
>>737691782NO it is not. the quest has around 3-6mm of jitter error, it can also jump upwards to 1 cm at times, on the lighthouse i get 3 mm at a maximum, consistently, using 2 bases. that's barely noticeable on video at all. but when it breaks it really breaks and hands go flying across the room and shit. reflections are also a culprit, not just occlusion.
