>>737694315I picked up Devastation on a whim before it got delisted because I had to use the trade-in credit I got for Street Fighter V for something and it's absolutely excellent, easily the best Platinum game overall and one of the best action games I've ever played despite the tiny budget meaning it missed a polishing pass it probably needed (mostly on the loot QoL, scoring system, and a bugged minigame). The way combat works flows extremely well to the point where they're confident throwing you through the wringer on Commander and Prime difficulties, primarily due to Overdrive (which increases attack SPEED as you deal damage which lets you get to string enders quicker which are your main extenders and give you breathing room in crowds). Enemy & Boss design is second to none since everything shares the same rig as the player characters so they all have the same core defensive tools you do and the boss attack patterns are really wide for some of the later ones (and the more basic ones will often be thrown at you in groups). Challenge Mode on Prime will beat your ass but make you feel like a god for clearing them, and the weapon drops always give you a little something different to mess with beyond all 5 Autobots playing just differently enough (Grimlock is the only dedicated grappler in the genre besides Nero and maybe Hideyoshi from Sengoku Basara if you count him).That's on top of a great visual style, top-tier OST, and a fun campy G1 Transformers story that culminates in one of the best Optimus/Megatron 1v1s in franchise history.

I do think it’s weird they removed the ability to get arrested by the guards in the sequel though, because that could lead to some interesting strategies.
