I don't get it, it just the same ubislop busy work simulator with a lot of water between, also half of the missions have been either following people or ships.
When does the good part start?

it doesn't. you've been duped by the zoomers who played it as a kid and are now old enough to dominate online discussion

Zoomers/gen alpha. It was their childhood or teen game so you shouldn't question the nostalgia.
I played the first AC games when they came out and was already bored to tears with Brotherhood, so naturally I didn't really bother with IV outside of pirating it and playing it maybe for 2 hours before going "it's the same boring shit but now with pirate costume party".
I feel like you really, REALLY have to like the pirate theme to care about this game. Because to be fair the only reason why I even stomached the other AC were not for the gameplay but the setting, which was and still is quite unique in gaming in general.

You had to be there.

The pirate battles were fun, but 90% of the game is just the usual assassins creed formula but much worse. The islands dont feel like they were designed with assassin shenanigans in mind and the combat is still as mind numbing as ever. The tailing missions and such also feel like they were cranked up to 11.

instead of a remake, they should just make a sequel but cut out all the assassin shit and just expand on the ship combat

not true at all. the assassins shit was on the back burner and barely was a story
it was a pirate game mostly
if youre rushing through the main story as a faggot and ignoring all side content, obviously you will claim its the same as previous games because you didnt touch the content available

People just have nostalgia for it because the pirate theme and sailing were a nice change of pace and it's from a time where the typical ubislop formula still wasn't something people were completely tired of yet. I can't imagine that playing this shit today would garner the same love.

The good part is just the sailing and shanties. Most people actually complained about the combat in 3 and 4 being a downgrade from ezio trilogies. There was a lot of bitching when it was the newest entry.

People are easily drawn in with the right premise. Take the same old asscreed, slap pirates on it and bam, you got yourself a hit.

t. soillennial who thinks some mid JRPG moviegame from 1997 is the best thing ever

OP here i just finish the locate the "el arca de maestro" mission and it's another LONG ASS tailing mission, i have a feeling that a lot of people will be disappointed with the remake.
The best part so far as some have said in the thread is hearing the pirates sing.

the remake is said to fix the tailing missions
you should just drop it and pirate the remake when it releases
it also speeds up combat, adds some ship weapons, and overhauls the parkour system

You gotta like pirates and exploring while listening to a podcast
