I'm not sure if FF15 has that proper, though I know it has some kind of combo attacks with your bros, but I always think back to a very specific moment in FF15 that is the crossover quest with some dead game (I looked it up, it was Terra Battle 2). It's Noctis and Sarah who constantly fumble those same combo attacks to the point they're an active detriment until halfway into the quest when they start to function properly, and then near the end they're really strong combo finishers that you want to activate as often as possible. Something like that spread across the breadth of a game rather than a single quest would be neat.
