Not really, if you know where to look or if you just kill bosses. At worst you can just hit the mines. Which character are you playing? Because Wylder can use just about any melee weapon. I have almost 1k hours in this game and sometimes I literally just grab a white drop from a chest or corpse and run that up to the boss after hitting the mines. It's fun.

>>737698009The boss towers are utter scams. The castles are a little complicated but you just need to learn them and lead the route. The north castle is a loot easier to learn too, I usually lean towards it if its not being covered by the circle. At worst you just land at the field in the top right, hit that field boss, hit the boss at the broken wall/corner, church, sewer boss, sewer boss behind the barrier, and then you can just hit the minibosses on the upperwall or do the mines or just do the center boss

It's wild how much more replayability a couple dozen more weapons/spells and boss encounters adds to the game, like holy fuck they could've done so much more with it with so little effort if they just tried.

>>737695441Actually, the game's problem was that it was too easy until DoN 4/5. Then you HAD to get damage negate at full HP, you pretty much had to be playing a meta build, and the issue was moreso just not getting enough damage or defenses rather than the individual weapon. The pool of purple/yellow weapons was small and so based on your character/dormant power it was easy to target the same few things if you wanted them.
This game still worth picking up?
