so is it any good piratekino or is it low effort flavor of the month sloppa?
>>737700575it's open world survival craft slop
>>737700984valheim could be described similarly but it ended up being breddy good. this one is slop tho? it seems so at a glance but want to make sure
>>737701165well it is the same thing as valheim
I don't like games from the "Twitch influencer" genre.
>>737700575it’s actually kino, there’s pirates singing while you’re sailing
>>737700575I just realised i've been playing open world survival craft slop for a decade now and there still isn't a really good one.Windrose is ok though, it's not the best of what's out there, none of it is particularly outstanding but it's all very, very solid and like every game in the genre, it has a lot of potential...which like every other game in the genre, it probably won't ever fully capitlize on.But it's got a solid gameplay loop, good building, decent naval combat, ok on foot combat etcPersonally i'd let it cook for a year, Conan Exiles is about to release a new update that overhauls the whole game, that'll probably be cheap to pick up, and whilst Conan isn't the best of the genre, it does have fantastic building, exploration, a great setting and aesthetic and a LOT of content.
what's with distorted music in the trailer almost sounded like A.I cover?
>>737700575enshrouded mogs
>>737700575Yeah, they're pretty good. A little tall for Dwarves though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4azillbpqU
>>737700575>>737701165I think what they have right now is a great foundation to build on but if survival crafting games aren't your thing you'll probably not like it. The closest game to it is Valheim in terms of how progression works (you discover new recipes and tech by finding new materials and you need to defeat bosses to progress).Ground combat is not super complicated but you can't really facetank shit and you'll need to learn parrying and dodging. It's easy to get swarmed if you're sloppy. I prefer the combat to Valheim's combat.Ship combat is basically AC Black Flag lite: you don't have as many options (no mortar, no dropping barrels behind you) but it's still all about positioning, hitting your broadsides, using chain shot to shred sails etc.If you like survival crafting and pirates I recommend it. You can also just pirate it to try it out.>>737701758>Personally i'd let it cook for a yearThis is not bad advice. It's good but it can be so much better with some more time.
