I preordered it. Am I retarded?

yes
>>
You can play any Neo Geo game ever for free on the computer you're using to post this so yeah
>>
Play it on emulator NOW.
>>
I've been trying out some of these Neo Geo games (Metal Slug, Blazing Star, Shock Troopers, etc.) and desu all of these suck ass. They're all just simple arcade quarter munchers made to steal money from children. The home versions have limited continues to make you play longer because of the rental market. Seriously, I mean there's no way that nostalgia would be enough to have fun with this right? Even back in the day in the 80s I understand that garbage like this had no purpose, that's why we all credit fed the games instead of practicing or trying to get good at that trash

If you have a CRT and RGB cable no.

If not then yes.

The PC vegans are here already.

No waku waku 7, no buy for me.

There are much easier ways to play Garou. It makes sense if you wanted a console with an arcade stick controller, not as much if you just wanted the games for it.
>>
Just depends if the console actually ends up being good and authentic. This console is gonna be scrutinized by the most hardcore gaming demographic in the world when it comes out.

>I have to spend $1000 on a machine with a 12mhz CPU and 64kb of RAM in 2026 because I just do, okay? It's licensed

The Neo-Geo is up there in terms of easy to reproduce systems because it used off-the-shelf chips that are still shit out by the million today for graphic calculators and industrial circuits
>>
>>737710253
Here is the argument I'd make.

>do you have a 1cc of single player oriented titles offered for this console remake
>would you be willing to continue playing these games for upwards of 50+ hours each
If the answer to either of these questions is no then you bought a paper weight for several hundred dollars. Obviously there's no reason to own the fighting games.

Spending money on anything that isn't essential is retarded so stop worrying about it and just do whatever the hell makes you happy.
>>

>Am I retarded?
It depends on how much you spent.
I heard the console plus the arcade stick is going for $250.
If you paid that much, then it's not really that bad.
>>
If you are buying anything and not A. saving a bunch of cash and B. buying survival materials you aren't doing it right.

Everything is about to collapse. Prepare for mass unemployment.

You've been saying that for twenty years
>>
Yes you didn't get the white one

The cartridges are $90 each
If you pay $1,000 you get a big discount because you get the $350 console + all ten launch carts
>>
>>737710253
Yes, you're an idiot if you pre-order anything.
>>737711245
There's only ten games and they have zero plans to release any more.
And the ones in the initial launch lineup are mostly bad (magician lord? lmfao).
>>
>>737711245
Even if they do announce more games there's no way they'll release the interesting ones like waku waku 7, kabuki clash, ninja masters, blue's journey, spin master, blazing star etc
