I made a post about this game last night, but I've been playing it more today and it's honestly really surprising to me that it isn't more appreciated or well known. You can tell whoever made this really appreciated 90s rpg's. They also nailed the music and imo the writing which is essential. idk I like it. Best game I've played so far this year, I think.
>>737712692alright buddy, i'll give a chance to your game, but first tell me how much it fits into each category:>quirky>earthbound inspired>depression
>>737712692I had my eye on it on release and it does look charming, but that style of RPG has never really been my speed. I'd likely play it if I had it in my library but it's not what I want to spend $20. I liked Small Saga though.
>>737713146the quirkiness is secondary in a way, the story takes itself seriously. I think they were making an earthbound fangame before this, and so far 0 depression. It's basically earthbound chrono trigger fantasy where you can time every action for a critical, even defense. it's not too easy. it's honestly the best rpg I've played in years and the only one I find myself being excited to play instead of feeling like it's an obligation or something>>737713264if I know anything in life, it's rpg's anon. trust me.
>>737713380there's elements of wild arms with the switching characters for abilities, you collect metal on the field for mp. I'll usually judge a game by how often it surprises me with little touches or extra effort you wouldn't really expect and it's full of it. I just want more people to play it. I found a legitimately good hidden gem.
>>737713380alright buddy, I'll wish list your game and maybe buy it once I'm done with my unplayed library
I'm gonna say something nobody will want to hearrat woman
