Both her and Kain could Jump and then they would do a spear attack every single time anyone on the field took an action until they came back down. Kain's did more damage, but Freya's healed the party and also restored BRV, and BRV is what determines the damage you do (and also whether or not you get "broken" and get knocked back on the timeline), so being a "BRV battery" was pretty beneficial. Freya also gave the team a "Last Stand" effect that made it so if they were >50% life and got hit and would die, they live with 1hp.

>>737728445It was the best gacha that has ever existed. It was ludicrously generous. Like I went into EoS with over 1,000,000 gems still. And 4-6 times per month, they added what was basically a new Dark Aeon fight that you spent like 15-30 minutes beating, and it had like 180 FF characters each with their own kits that were pretty faithful to their games, and the battle system was basically a copy paste of FFX's battle system but with the BRV system from Dissidia added to it. The last power level of that gacha (Shinryu) was bad, but still decent. The power level right before that (Lufenia) was awesome though. The Lufenia orbs which you can see in that image ticked down X amount every turn, and fulfilling certain conditions would tick them back up. Basically, a lot of fights just killed you if the Lufenia orb popped, so they were puzzle fights where you had to kill the enemy while balancing the orb conditions. A lot of orbs could be solved pretty easily, or by using a certain Sphere on certain characters (sort of like Materia I guess) but it was still fun building teams to beat the fights and also fulfill the orb conditions.
