Everyone that played Shenmue when it came out can agree that it simply hasn't aged well and should've just stayed in the past where it belonged, but now you have zoomers pretending it's actually still good when much better things came after it.Shenmue is the VHS of video games, good when it came out but is now outdated and was replaced with better things.Now obsessed over by people who weren't alive when it came out.
It's a miracle you guys got Shenmue 3. If they didn't wrap up the story there, then wouldn't have done it on Shenmue 4.Let go.

If a Shenmue 4 is anything like the 3rd one I would just rather not have it. Shenmue 1 and 2 are still incredible and immersive technical marvels that achieved things that modern games with 10x the budget and on significantly more powerful hardware can't manage to replicate.Shenmue 3 didn't recapture literally any of the magic, it didn't have any cool details or depth to the world, you couldn't even talk to most of the characters, most of the music is just ripped from the second game despite them having enough music made for like 5 games since 1999 that they had access to(they showed pictures of the CDs on their dev log and some of it has come out over the years like the Shenmue MMO OST), the story is actually in a worse spot than it was 25 years ago because 3 decided to retcon a number of things which is incredibly insulting when the rest of the games story is just filler bullshit that didn't move anything forward literally all it did was ruin it, I could go on. Fuck Shenmue 3, I hate it and I wish it didn't exist. 3 also ruined the community, I was a Shenmue Dojo oldhead since the early 2000s and when 3 happened and I was honest about how crap it was I got permabanned from every Shenmue space on the internet. If you admit that it sucks we wont get a fourth game! you must be silenced.While I'm here fuck those HD ports of 1 and 2 as well, they're incredibly broken and full of bugs, even worse than shit like Sonic Adventure DX, but because Shenmue fans are so good at silencing negative feedback you wouldn't know it and I've seen a lot of people just assume they were always like that. I'm fucking tired man, I'd rather just pretend I'm back in like 2010 assuming another game is never coming but at least we had 2 great ones.
