Easily Stella Blade. It wasn't an uber shitty action game, didn't shoe horn in cod philosophy, didn't need to be replayed five times over to get the ending, didn't have the hot character die halfway through, and had way more customisation options.

Nier automata is one of the most overrated games I've ever played. I played it when it came out and thought it was pretty average and nothing special but everyone loved it and wouldn't shut up about it. It's not a bad game, just kind of boring and got all sorts of love and it never made sense. I say this as someone who liked the original Nier a lot and had played just about every game in the series by the time I played automata
