I paid full price for Elden Ring thinking it would be Dark Souls 3 but improvedThe fact is the game require you to die 30 or 40 times per boss plus encourage you to go to the internet to know where to do sidequestsI think it's a bad design: no game should require you to open a browser and look for spoilers on how to complete tasks. It's like watching a movie but the director cut content and encourage people to go to the internet to find the cut content so you can continue watching the movieIn that case, I prefer to play games like God Eater 3 and Code Vein because at least I can find all quests there without internet help
You don't need to do it all in one go thobeit. Don't you miss the thrill of discovery? Most vidya doesn't do it anymore.
Have you tried not looking everything up on the internet?
No where in the game does it say "hey look this up online" it usually says "vaguely go somewhere and maybe something is here" with spirits, dialog, or dev messages.It's literally just exploring and learning patternsIronically the three bonfires to level up thing cost me a lot of levels because once I saw I couldn't level up at the first two I assumed I needed a story beat and would just explore until I died and resed at the last one I literally. Cleared all of weeping peninsula and got to stormveil before I finally just sat down and felt very foolish

dont know what this thread is about but i saw dark souls and i wanted to let you all know i'm playing dark sousl 2 again with halberds only and it's an awkward but fun playthrough
