And that’s after you know what you’re doing. That’s with a pre-made team doing every one of those runs.

I actually think Marathon is generally a very good game but it's losing players because it's just fundamentally really stressful to play. Bungie must have thought that either they could create a ton of new extraction shooter fans out of their former Halo/Destiny fan base (bad idea due to player-Bungie goodwill being at an all time low after years of Destiny mismanagement) or that they could poach a lot of players from existing extraction shooters (which also seems like a bad idea, because getting players to 'quit' their favorite game for another is always a hard sell). The only other avenue is mass/casual appeal which is kinda off the table because of how stressful the gameplay loop is.In short I don't think there's really a market for it, certainly not one to justify the budget.
