hack'n'slash are explicitly games like Diablo. Linear, grindy games, with no roleplaying, no proper dialogues, just endless trashmobs to slaughter your way through at every step while looting tons of random garbage loot

aRPGs like TES, Gothic or Deus Ex are nothing like Diablo
