I love Elden Ring, in almost every way.I recently got into the Nioh series (particularly Nioh 2) and it made me feel like like Elden Ring's melee combat is very rudimentary and less fun. It has little flow, it just feels like you wait for the boss to finishing spazzing out then poke and prod. I find the magic systems, different status mechanics, and buffs in Elden Ring to be superior but the melee combat is really lagging. I don't like the fact that the boss dictates the terms of the fight rather than the player. In BB and Sekiro you brought the fight to the boss, not tolerate the boss until it's your turn.

Seems like fromsoft learned from their mistakes of visual clarity and delayed attacks evidence in NR bosses being very very good. Dredlord, night aspect, and fulghor are the best bosses ever made. There’s not a single egregious attack on any of these bosses. Just a solid, fair challenge. Balancers is a “good” gank fight, although ed balancers does have some bullshit (worm figure 8 move). Calico is a solid dragon fight. Adel is another solid dragon fight. Base libra is a fun fight. Ed Libra is definitely bullshit but it’s supposed to be. Point being all the base bosses are fair and fun, minus the one boss stolen directly from the base game, who just like Elden beast runs away the entire fight.

Is the Game & dlc worth it? Last Time i played a soulsborne was Sekiro and while enjoyed it, i Had the Feeling that i start to get fatique from the Style of simplified deliberate Combat and the Souls Formula got a bit stale.
