WHICH ONE?
>>
I rip up both because cancer kills rich people and hunger kills poor people. I hate all of you
>>
Trick question; Up for fucking the secretary, endlessly
>>
we've already "ended world hunger" like 4 times so far and it always just results of new starving niggers being created
>>
>>737765991
If you cure cancer, then everyone will starve, which is better than letting everyone die of colon cancer on a full stomach.

So cure cancer.
>>
>>737765991
starving people are worthless and multiply like rabbits. cancer people can actuality be useful. the choice is obvious.

What does keith david have to do with all this?
>>
>>737765991
Cancer is the right answer. "feed hungry" is not just some black and white yes or no switch, it's a societal issue, you feed the hungry now and the problem will just reset in a couple of years. Same reason why faggots think rich people can just spend their money to solve world hunger, not how it works.

Feeding the hungry won't magically create lasting infrastructure in shithole nations, it won't magically stop war lords from fucking their own countries over

That would be a disaster if you think for just a few seconds.
>>
>>737766297
People don't understand what logistics are or how much it costs at scale, especially since it will all need security as well
They actually just think food spawns at their super market so why can't it be given to starving retards on the other side of the globe

Maybe if the environment is so harsh that it can't support human life, they shouldn't be there to begin with

End hunger.
HOWEVER, we're not giving food that will be diverted and sold and all that shit again.

Instead we're killing all the world leaders causing hunger, and replacing em with leaders that don't cause hunger.
All the congos, all oil patrons, all the drug dealers.
They will all die and be replaced by a leadership that can manage resource for shit.
>>
cancer I guess, but big pharma would never let it happen
>>
Cancer can be cured by TECHNOLOGY. Hunger can(not)
>>
>>737766708
Every cancer is personalized and a natural process.
A "true cure for cancer" is made out of machines made to kill your specific strain of cancer, and as you live, you will create other different strains.
We're trading "the patient just dies after a bunch of expensive drugs" to "the patient lived to have a completely different layer of cancer, and every time he has to use our machines".
>>
>>737766765
Hunger being trivialized for billions of people is literally because of technology.
>>
cancer because I might get cancer, hunger only exists in countries full of low iqs

It's not though. Places like Zimbabwe used to feed the entire region when it was called Rhodesia and run by a different, more capable people. It's a genetics problem you can't solve
>>
>>737765991
it doesn't say no one goes hungry forever
>>
>>737766886
Well yeah that's the whole idea behind nanotech
>>
>>737767142
It's certainly also a skill issue, but if they are too stupid, they should stay in regions where food grows on the trees for free
>>
>>737766708
>big pharma
always makes me laugh
>>
>>737766682
This is what people who choose to cure cancer don't realize. Humanity already has enough food to feed the planet many times over, you're not curing world hunger by producing more of it, you're curing world hunger by eliminating the human evil out of the planet.
>>
>>737767607
Not a rebuttal, just wanting to know the fuck is wellness.
>>
>>737768039
The food production is not very well distributed, and shipping the food all across the globe would be an herculean expensive task.

However killing a bunch of dictators, educating people in agriculture and probably reallocating a bunch of people would probably do it.
>>
>>737765991
cure cancer. we have enough food for everyone.
>>
>>737768270
That's part of the point. Even if you went through the herculean task of supplying the food we already have, not only is that supremely inefficient, but the local evil would just appropriate it all by force anyway. The only way to cure world hunger is to eliminate the evil causing it.
>>
>>737768341
this lol, we already know how to produce enough food for the entire planet. Curing cancer means that we get legitimate scientific progress
>>
>>737768557
Yep.
But that's not what "good guys" do.
>>
>>737765991
Feeding the hungry is mostly a "civil wars and dictatorships" problem, it doesn't matter if you send food to areas with warlords who just plan to sell off any aid you've got elsewhere for weaponry, so it comes down to what it means to "pass" the bill.

If the bill is just
>it magically happens if passed
you pick hunger, because you secretly solved world peace in any world where it DOES work. If it's just
>we're gonna try like we would IRL, but it's a serious try
you pick cancer because you've at least got a decent shot of doing it and it lasting beyond
>aight we spent the money, hungers back lmao.
>>
>>737768769
I picked hunger because it is implicit that a lot of ego inflated dictators get wasted by black op operatives, and terrible cultures gets dismantled by education.
>>
>>737768039
It's Saints row they're going to drop a pallet of swishers, and melons on Uganda.

>>737768557
It's not. We've got transporting food pretty well figured out, and huge portions of Afirca are extremely fertile. It's just that they're a combination of retards, violent cannibals, slavers, and blue helmets disarming anyone who stays put to try, and farm.
>>
>>737765991
Feed hunger just kicks the can down he road. Your nation only produces so many calories. You can either produce more calories or improve distribution but either way you get a higher population which consumes more calories which means people go hungry again once the population catches up to the calories you're producing.

Its the same reason the thanos snap doesn't make any sense, yeah you cut the population in half today but the population will just increase until it reaches the same equilibrium points as before leading to the same problems.

feed the hungry, because magically curing cancer will rob us of decades of valuable oncology research that will enhance the fitness of humanity in the long run, whilst predominantly sparing the lives of geriatrics that leech money from society.

solving hunger results in a population explosion followed by normalisation in shitholes that don't matter and will remain shitholes because of their populace, regardless. it's still bad because of refugee spillage, but not as bad.
