I’m sure it was, factions was really good. The problem apparently was that it would have been difficult to monopolize and Naughty Dog would have had to dedicate tons of resources to maintain and upkeep it. They didn’t want to sacrifice their single player games.

Uncharted multiplayer was unironically decent for a game whose sole focus was on 'the narrative experience'. I'm guessing that having a good multiplayer mode would take away from VIOLENCE = BAD moral speak what was shoved in people's face in the story.
I don’t doubt it was great. Still the game could’ve had foreseen issues like sniper meta or campers in the corner with a shotgun that would’ve slowly eroded everyone’s enjoyment. It’s hard to account for everything in a multiplayer game.
