Which one is better?
>>
>>737767165
I prefer wotr, since i like fantasy more than space fantasy
>>
>>737767165
Rogue Trader, even if it'll be in EA for 5 more years.
>>
>>737767464
isnt it 1more dlc only, then like 2 more years for patches should be enough
>>
>>737767165
Rogue Trader
More coherent story and gameplay, level curve makes sense, itemisation is better, companions are annoying tumblrinas. It has a couple of tacked on systems in space combat and the reputation/trading system, but space combat was infinitely more enjoyable than Crusade mode
WoTR is a strictly worse Kingmaker anyway, so if you need to play Pathfinder, play Kingmaker. And even then, be aware that it's a buggy mess that won't be fixed
>>
>>737767714
companions AREN'T annoying tumblrinas (in rogue trader) I mean. rip
>>
>>737767165
I played RT on release, and it was the first Owlcat game that made me quit in chapter 1 (or whatever it's called after you leave the planet).
I wasn't having fun with the combat, it felt "weird", even after hours of playing the game (they probably changed a lot of stuff after that, so maybe it is much better now).

Companions seemed cool tho, and they nailed the setting pretty well (it was nice being able to play as a scumbag noble).
>>
I prefer RT. WotR is far too complex for it's own good, and I ducked out a few chapters in. It's such a fucking slog even with the war minigame disabled.
That said, RT has it's own set of problems. In particular I don't like how they handled Psykers. I get WHY they did it that way, but Psykers should have been a standalone class.
Also restricting companion origins. I wanted what Pascal had so badly.
>>
>>737767165
These games have the most blatant shills on the internet, low iq and bold retards. its hilarious, really.
>>
>>737767593
2 more DLC, including the Nekron.
>>
>>737767786
I do find it really suspect that in RT, the two black companions are both criminals where the objectively correct move is to execute or at least expel them ASAP.
>>
>>737770529
I'm going to assume that you're talking about Jae and not Solomorne. Either way, no it's not the objectively correct move at all

They're all good in their own way, but personally I prefer Rogue Trader.
>>
Both are extremely flawed. Wrath at least has *some* reasonable endings.

Piracy only.
>>
>>737770665
anon i can gift you some games if you're that broke. post your wishlist
>>
>>737769858
RT likely felt weird because its combat is based around doing as effective and devastating alpha strikes and possible.
>>
>>737767165
rt is funner, wotr is better for rping
>>
>>737770768
Other way around.
>>
>>737770735
Desperate.
>>
>>737770593
It is at the very least 100% correct to get rid of Idira the second you have the chance. It feels like the game is punishing you for either wanting her content or feeling sympathetic to her.
>>
>>737767165
Rogue Trader is so fucking good, the combat turns way easy about halfway thoughbeit.
Wrath is build autism and suffering through shitty HoMM.
>>
>>737770859
The game literally doesn't punish you at all. After doing her companion quest in act 2 she never meltdowns again, there are no consequences whatsoever, she says it'll never happen again, that's that, it never does
>>
>>737770858
Nothing really desperate about it. I'm just offering you some free games. Also we're on 4chan you don't need to type *like* a discordtranny
>>
>>737767165
Rogue Trader will be better once they add an ending that allows me to impregnate Cassia like they did with Arue
>>
>>737767165
Wotr. Rogue trader you just point at argenta/yrlet and clear the map in one round. Also the 40k setting is one giant shithole
>>
>>737771024
pathfinder is too kitchen sink. Pass.
>>
>>737771024
>clear the map in one round
no good balance mods yet?
>>
>>737771024
>you just point at argenta/yrlet and clear the map in one round
As opposed to prebuffing and autoattacking everyhting to death like in Pathfinder?
>Also the 40k setting is one giant shithole
It certainly is better than Golarion
>>
>>737767165
They're both shit.
>>
>>737770904
It's been a while since I played, doesn't she cause a Warp thing that kills thousands of people?
>>
>>737771190
That's what I meant, that's her act 2 companion quest
>thousands
There are no numbers, and they're all a bunch of lower deckers anyway
>>
>>737771121
Prebuffing can be annoying but you also need heals, CC, AoE, summons. RT is retarded
>>
>>737771283
God that was such a garbage experience when playing Kingmaker and Wrath back to back. After a 150 hours I had enough and never played them since.
>>

Dark Heresy : )
>>
>>737771515
I especially hated the tooltip on load screens that said "remember to use spells/potions before tough fights" as if I know what's coming unless I'm saving every 5 minutes and reloading to just before so I can chug a pot and haste
>>
>>737767165
Left group can take right girl without much problem.
>>
>>737771829
Yup.

>>

Kingmaker for Pathfinder kino
Dark Heresy for 40K kino
Both of them have better music than their counterparts.
>>
>>737772045
True, but the alpha was already better than the entirety of Rogue Trader. Alongside the music.
>>
>>737767165
Rogue Trader is a more fun game but the Pathfinder RPG system is superior. Play both anyway, and Kingmaker too. Owlcat makes great games.

>>
>>737767165
WoTR. Better combat, far better RPG mechanics, more fleshed out paths, storyline, companions etc etc. Only 40kiddies prefer RT
>>
>>737772374
This but RT instead. Wrath is such trash. Doesn't even hold a candle to Kingmaker.
>>
>>737767165
RT.
>>
>>737767165
I just can't deal with sweaty high level pathfinder 1e in a janky hybrid rtwp/turn based shell
That's the reason that I never got past about level 10 in both WotR and Kingmaker, the actual core gameplay of fighting through huge dungeons of trash mobs was not fun
Rogue Trader is much more smooth and comfy once you get a hang of the system so I played through it easily
>>
>>737767165
Both have the worst leveling up process I have ever witnessed in a video game.

Both games have their moments but also share some similar flaws.
Balance is all over the place and the sweetspot of "challanging but not frustrating" are rare in both games for difrent reasons.

In Rogue Trader most fights end in 1-3 turns for either you or the enemy, drawn out fights are rare but when they do happen they are awsome.
The levelup system, perks and gear have more going for it, but the % modifiers can go out of controll - leading to some insane caster builds.
The story and party members got more going for them but half of the potential party members come at a point of the game where you are unlikely to ever swap them out for your core team you have built up all game.

In WOTR everyhting is tuned up to 11, every enemy is either immune to every type of magic or has a milion AC sometimes both. So you either make incrediably minmaxed builds and buff up 20minutes before every fight or find yourself at the game over screen. On the flipside your party can become untouchable murderhobos too, for what its worth.
Most of your potential party members are incrediably stupid or annoying and the 2nd half of the game felt like a huge chore BUT the replay value and the highs of some story beats puts RT to shame. Going from Demon to Legend was great and felt like the unoficial canon route to me

I replayed RT twice and felt like i was done with the game. Replayed WOTR 3 times and still feel like every campaign has something new to offer thanks to the mythic paths and would likely replay it a few more times in a year or two.
Would reccomen both, but I liked RT more during my first playtrough than WOTR.

40slop is a very restrictive setting for rp. Do you want to be a insane zealot who burns people alive or a ineffectual "good" guy who can't make any real change in the setting.

RT
I can't bring myself to replay wotr because the war minigames and pre-buffing are horrendous, even with bubble buffs and toybox I just can't

>>737772736
the only bad thing about going legend is that that cunt Iomedae likes it

Who cares?

played like 10 hours of both of them, uninstalled
theyre just not good games
